Conquer Cancer Foundation and ASCO International Announce New International Innovation Grant Program

Jun 25, 2013

This year, the Conquer Cancer Foundation and ASCO International are launching a new program that will directly support research in low- and middle-income countries (LMCs). The International Innovation Grants will fund hypothesis-driven research for specific projects that may result in the discovery of new knowledge about how to advance cancer control in an LMC. These grants will support proposals that have the potential to reduce the cancer burden in local communities while also being potentially transferrable to other LMCs. Grantees will be expected to share and disseminate the knowledge gained during conduct of their research project.

The new research grants are one-year grants of up to $20,000 that will be awarded to not-for-profit organizations or governmental agencies in LMCs. For the 2014 grant program, the Foundation will award at least two grants, which are being supported by the Conquer Cancer Foundation Mission Endowment and by ASCO. Detailed application information and instructions can be found at conquercancerfoundation.org/innovation; the online application system will accept Letters of Intent from July 1 through August 1, 2013.
