Be Counted in the Oncology Practice Census

Jun 26, 2013

ASCO is continuing its efforts to assess and monitor the state of oncology practices and respond to the rapidly changing practice environment. The ASCO National Oncology Census will help the Society maintain its full picture of the oncology landscapefor 2013.

If you are among the 5,000-plus oncologists who were represented in the 2012 ASCO National Oncology Census, we thank you for participating in this critically important area of research. Preliminary census findings from this initial effort, published in the Journal of Oncology Practice, provided a foundational understanding of the current dynamics in today’s oncology practice, while underscoring a critical need to continue to assess the effects that economic, social, and political pressures will have on the future practice of oncology.Whether you did or did not participate in the 2012 ASCO National Oncology Census, you will have another chance this year. We are encouraging practices to complete this year’s survey, the results of which will be used to identify oncology practice trends over the entire oncology practice community.

Practices around the country should have recently received an invitation to participate in the survey. For more information, please visit asco.org/census.
