Voting Now Open in the ASCO Election; Ballot Closes December 8

Voting is now open in the ASCO election. ASCO encourages all eligible members to cast their proxy ballots to choose new Society leaders and to support or oppose proposed amendments to the Society Bylaws and Certificate of Incorporation. Eligible members are those who are Full members, Emeritus members who were formerly Full members, or Honorary members, and who are in good standing as of October 19, 2020.  

The voting period closes on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at 9:15 AM Eastern Standard Time, USA. All proxy ballots must be received by this time.  

Special Member Meeting Notice: All proxy ballots received will be officially cast at a special meeting of the members to be held online on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM Eastern Standard Time, USAMembers will be sent a link to access the special meeting in advance of the event. This notice is issued at the direction of the Board of Directors of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.   

Election results will be announced in mid-December, and newly elected leaders will begin their terms of office in June 2021. If passed, most of the proposed amendments to the Bylaws and Certificate of Incorporation will be effective on January 1, 2021.
