What led you to oncology?

LC: My mentor, Dr. Taylor Wharton. He was an excellent cancer surgeon who always made himself available for his patients and students.

What career could you see yourself in if you weren’t an oncologist?

LC: A priest, a policeman, or a fireman.

LC: Finish: Give Yourself the Gift of Done by Jon Acuff.

What hobbies do you enjoy?

LC: Tennis, snooker, and traveling.

LC: Your title makes you a manager. Your people make you a leader.

What do you think oncology will look like 10 years from today?

LC: AI, molecular diagnosis, and targeted therapies will be changing the way we practice oncology.

What would you say to a young physician thinking about entering the field of oncology?

LC: This is a field where I found science, skills, empathy, and compassion merged as one.
