Arif Kamal, MD, MBA, MHS, was named a Visionary in Hospice and Palliative Medicine by the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

Gerold Bepler, MD, PhD, was elected to the Association of American Cancer Institutes’ Board of Directors.

Kelly M. McMasters, MD, PhD, was named editor in chief of the Annals of Surgical Oncology.

Elias Obeid, MD, MPH, was a winner of Fox Chase Cancer Center’s American Cancer Society Institutional Research Grant Pilot Project Competition for Junior Investigators.

Mark A. Israel, MD, has been appointed national executive director of the Israel Cancer Research Fund.

Ursula Matulonis, MD, has been named the first incumbent of the Brock-Wilson Family Chair at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Mary Beckerle, PhD, is this year’s recipient of the Alfred G. Knudson Award in Cancer Genetics from the National Cancer Institute.

Paul E. Oberstein, MD, joined NYU Langone Health’s Perlmutter Cancer Center as director of gastrointestinal medical oncology and assistant director of its recently established Pancreatic Cancer Center.

Howard S. Hochster, MD, assumed the role of associate director for clinical research and chief of gastrointestinal medical oncology at Rutgers Cancer Institute, as well as director of cancer clinical research for oncology services at RWJBarnabas Health.
