Register Now for Free Onsite Childcare at 2019 ASCO Annual Meeting

Mar 14, 2019

As you plan your trip to the 2019 ASCO Annual Meeting, we know it’s not just about deciding which sessions to attend or which hotel to stay at. Below are some childcare options to consider should you choose to bring your family with you to Chicago. In addition, give your hotel a call after making a reservation to see if they have additional suggestions.

New This Year: Free Onsite Childcare at McCormick Place

For the first time, ASCO will provide professional onsite childcare service (through KiddieCorp) during the Annual Meeting. Available Friday, May 31, through Tuesday, June 4, the program is designed for children 6 months to 12 years old and will include age-appropriate activities such as group games, arts and crafts, story time, and more. The service includes meals, snacks, water, and activities.

In response to the tremendous amount of interest in this program, ASCO is pleased to announce that the Society will fully cover the cost of childcare for attendees. ASCO is happy to support working families and make it easier for everyone to attend the ASCO Annual Meeting. If you have already registered and paid for this service, you will be reimbursed.

The advance registration deadline is May 3, 2019. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please sign up before the deadline to make sure that we have the appropriate provider-to-child ratios and can accommodate demand. A cancellation fee may apply after May 3. For more information, please email meetings@asco.org.

Each room will be equipped with a chair, table, power outlet, and refrigerator. Additionally, McCormick Place has installed two new Mamava stations that nursing mothers can use.
