ASCO congratulates Ashley Love Sumrall, MD, FACP, and Stephanie Graff, MD, FACP, who were recognized with 2019 APEX Awards for Publication Excellence in the category of Social Media - Best Single Blog Post. APEX Awards recognize exceptional work in all aspects of communications and publishing, including graphic design, editorial content, and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence.
Dr. Sumrall was honored for her post “Nine Ways Carnegie Hall and Cancer Care Are Similar,” in which she describes performing at the storied Carnegie Hall and connects the experience back to her work in oncology. Dr. Sumrall is the neuro-oncology section chief, a medical oncologist, and an assistant professor at Levine Cancer Institute. She is active on Twitter @AshleySumrallMD.
Dr. Graff was honored for her post “Everything I Needed to Know, I Learned in a Cancer Clinic,” featuring 10 lessons that resonate in both life and oncology practice. Dr. Graff is the director of the Breast Cancer Program at Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at HCA Midwest Health. She is active on Twitter @DrSGraff.
