Leverage ASCO’s Resources to Support Your Research

May 14, 2021

Through ASCO’s Center for Research and Analytics (CENTRA), ASCO members conducting research can access an assortment of cancer data or discover new insights by surveying fellow ASCO members.

Data Library

The ASCO Data Library is an expansive repository of information that ASCO members, as well as qualified individuals and organizations, may access for research purposes. It contains several types of information, including meeting abstracts, survey results, ASCO Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI®) data, CancerLinQ Discovery® data, and more.

The most recent addition to the Data Library is a dataset of records from 500 molecular and clinically matched patients with glioblastoma (GBM). The availability of clinical data paired with DNA and RNA sequencing for such a large cohort of patients with GBM makes this dataset unique. ASCO collaborated with the technology company Tempus to make the data available to ASCO members with the hope that it will help drive innovation in treatment strategies for the disease.

Research Survey Pool

ASCO’s Research Survey Pool includes members from around the world at different stages of their careers and in different specialties—clinicians, pharmacists, allied health professionals, researchers, members of various practice types, and more—who have opted to participate in survey projects conducted by ASCO members. Members who wish to engage in survey research can request to tap into the Research Survey Pool by submitting an application to CENTRA. Survey projects must align with ASCO’s mission and standards for high‐quality research.

ASCO members can opt in to join the Research Survey Pool through their profile and earn points toward the Fellow of ASCO (FASCO) designation by participating in surveys.
