ASCO CEO Clifford A. Hudis, MD, FACP, FASCO, was included among 15 2020 Giants of Cancer Care by OncLive for his contributions in the areas of community outreach and cancer policy. 
 
ASCO chief medical officer and executive vice president Richard L. Schilsky, MD, FACP, FSCT, FASCO, was quoted in a July 23 TIME article, “As Coronavirus Continues to Spread in the U.S., the Clinical Trials Cancer Patients Rely on Are Disappearing.” 
 
Kunle Odunsi, MD, PhD, FRCOG, FACOG, was named at-large director of the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) Board of Directors.
 
The American Association for Cancer Research honored Jedd D. Wolchok, MD, PhD, FASCO, with the 2020 AACR–Joseph H. Burchenal Award for Outstanding Achievement in Clinical Cancer Research.

Fox Chase Cancer Center announced two additions to its staff. Shazia K. Nakhoda, MD, joined the center’s Department of Hematology/Oncology in the Hematology-Lymphoma Program, and Andrea Porpiglia, MD, MSc, joined the Department of Surgical Oncology in the Division of General Surgery as assistant professor. 
 
The American Cancer Society and Flatiron Health honored Siran M. Koroukian-Hajinazarian, PhD, MSN, with their Real-World Data Impact Award. 
 
Shilpa Gupta, MD, received a 2-year, $573,850 grant from the Department of Defense to study biomarkers of response and resistance to immunotherapy and to apply machine learning algorithms to generate a comprehensive biomarker.
 
Alok A. Khorana, MD, was appointed as the new chair of the National Blood Clot Alliance’s Medical & Scientific Advisory Board.
 
Cleveland Clinic Cancer Center announced the appointment of four new staff members: Timothy An-thy Chan, MD, PhD; Mhd Yaser Al-Marrawi, MD; Adriana Alvarez, MD; and Erin Elizabeth Roesch, MD
