Nov 05, 2019

ASCO is committed to assisting practices so they can deliver the highest quality cancer care for patients everywhere, in every care setting. Driven by evidence and uniquely suited to physician and patient needs, ASCO’s comprehensive clinical affairs programs help practices successfully navigate the changing health care delivery system.

ASCO PracticeNET: ASCO’s learning network gives practices the capability to compare their performance to other practices of similar size and setting. PracticeNET analyzes practice data to help bolster practice operations and productivity, better allocate resources, identify billing and coding opportunities, and discuss best practices in oncology practice management. For more information, contact PracticeNET@asco.org.

ASCO Consulting Services: ASCO provides comprehensive, personalized support to practices to help them improve operational and clinical processes and practices. Delivered by nationally recognized oncology business management experts, ASCO’s support aims to help practices in all settings achieve the highest level of practice health with a focus on efficient operations, quality initiatives, safe patient care delivery, and the transition from volume- to value-based care. To learn more, contact clinicalaffairs@asco.org.

Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI®): QOPI is ASCO’s quality program designed for outpatient oncology practices to foster a culture of self-examination and improvement. Participating practices can report on over 150 evidence-based quality measures and receive individual performance scores by practice, site, and provider, as well as benchmarked scores aggregated from all participating practices.

QOPI Certification Program: Practices participating in the QOPI Certification Program not only receive detailed reports to benchmark against other top-performing practices, but also learn from certification staff and surveyors to support and strengthen the effectiveness of policies and procedures. The certification process creates a culture of excellence and self-examination that helps practices deliver the best care to their patients. By becoming QOPI Certified, a practice demonstrates its commitment to quality to patients, payers, and the medical community.

Advanced Practitioner Certificate: ASCO has developed three certificate programs tailored to the educational needs of advanced practitioners at specific points in their learning. The programs, which offer continuing medical education, nursing, and pharmacy credit, were developed in an educational partnership between the Association of Physician Assistants in Oncology (APAO), Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology and Oncology (APSHO), ASCO, and Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association (HOPA).

ASCO Practice Central: ASCO Practice Central is the first ASCO website dedicated to the business of oncology. The website provides a centralized resource that oncology practices can use to address a wide range of practical issues, including changes to physician reimbursement, quality reporting requirements, and business management practice.
