Obtain Data to Improve Your Practice: Take ASCO’s 2018 Survey of Oncology Practice Operations by Feb. 23

Feb 05, 2018

As part of ASCO’s continued efforts to help oncology practices navigate the evolving cancer care delivery system, ASCO is inviting all oncology practices to participate in the annual Survey of Oncology Practice Operations, which looks at the current state of business and operational issues in oncology.

The survey aims to give all oncology practices a deeper look at a variety of oncology management topics, including revenues and expenses, productivity measures, pharmacy issues, and staffing levels and compensation. These insights will allow ASCO to refine and create new programs, tools, and resources to help practices address major and emerging issues in oncology.

Once responses are validated and the data analysis is complete, respondents will receive:

  • An overview document tailored specifically for their practice, which will highlight how they compare to other practices. This document can be used for practice assessment and improvement.
  • A full report of the survey’s findings. (Individual practice data is protected and never shared.)

The individual practice data from the survey is confidential and will remain internal to ASCO. The data will be shared with survey participants and may be published in a scientific journal.

ASCO urges all oncology practices in all practice settings (including physician-owned, academic, and hospital/system-based practices) to participate in the survey. Practices are encouraged to complete as much of the survey as possible, but any amount of information will be accepted and used in the analysis.

The survey is currently open and will close on Friday, February 23, 2018.

Take the survey.
