Dear friends of the global oncology community.

My name is Enrique Soto and I am a medical oncologist working in Mexico City and an ASCO member. I want to use this discussion post to ask for your help in a fundraiser I am organizing. As you may know, on September 19, Mexico was hit by a massive earthquake that caused a lot of destruction and loss of lives. People from all around the world have responded by volunteering their time, money and belongings to help those in need. In the following weeks and months, many people will need help to get their lives back together. Some have lost everything. Among those who have lost their homes and loved ones, many will need to continue or start treatment for cancer. These treatments are costly and many of those affected have no healthcare coverage. The purpose of this fundraiser is to obtain funds in order to help Mexican patients with cancer who have been hurt in one way or another by the Earthquake. All the funds will be used to purchase medications in order to help patients obtain timely treatment. You can donate online using paypal in this link: https://www.youcaring.com/mexicanswithcanceraffectedbyearthquake-959907?utm_source=marketo&utm_medium=email&utm_content=New-Donation&utm_campaign=Action-Based-Organizer#

Thank you all very much for reading this, anything helps!.

Best regards
