I am pleased to announce that the program for this year’s ASCO Research Community Forum Annual Meeting is now available. Physician investigators and research staff are invited to attend this one-of-a-kind meeting taking place September 23-24, 2018, at ASCO headquarters in the Washington, DC, metro area.

This gathering of research professionals is a great opportunity to come together and share best practices, identify solutions to common challenges, hear from presenters and panelists representing a variety of stakeholders, and engage in dynamic discussions. I encourage you and your colleagues to attend to take advantage of expanded educational opportunities, including:

  • Training Workshop: Day 1 of the meeting will feature a training workshop on the business of clinical trials, which will provide practical strategies on building and sustaining an effective clinical trials program.
  • General Sessions: Day 2 features general sessions, multi-stakeholder panel discussions, and several breakout discussions. Topics include improving efficiencies to reduce site burden and expedite clinical trial start-up, preparing for impending regulatory changes and new therapies, and increasing trial awareness and participation.

This year's meeting will also feature a keynote address by ASCO President-Elect Howard A. “Skip” Burris III, MD, FACP, FASCO. Additionally, a networking event will provide an excellent opportunity for participants to connect with colleagues representing the diversity of cancer research sites throughout the country.

CME and nursing CE credits are available, as well as a CE option for ACRP and SoCRA members. We are also offering a group discount: bring a colleague and receive 50% off both registrations.

Space is limited, you and your colleagues are encouraged to register now! Early registration ends on August 15, 2018.

If you have any questions or need assistance registering, please feel free to contact our team at researchcommunityforum@asco.org.
