Linda R. Duska, MD, MPH, is the editor in chief of ASCO Connection. She is the associate dean of clinical research and a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Since joining ASCO in 1999, she has served on the Scientific Program, Cancer Education, and Public Issues Committees, and as a faculty member at ASCO Annual Meetings, among numerous volunteer roles.

Delivering high-quality cancer care is challenging even under ideal circumstances. To the providers working in areas struck by natural disaster, where the basic resources and infrastructure you depend on are suddenly unavailable, you have my utmost admiration.
