In their roles as patient advocates, Ms. Janine Guglielmino and Dr. Sue Friedman have observed growing patient confusion about breast cancer subtypes and the difference between acquired and inherited gene mutations.
Dr. Julia Jenkins volunteered with the International Cancer Corps to support palliative care providers in the Thimphu Valley, Bhutan.

In 2019, ASCO launched an Asia Pacific Regional Council, a group of distinguished oncology leaders from countries in the Asia Pacific region who advise ASCO on the needs of members in the region and facilitate and encourage member involvement in ASCO’s global activities.
