On behalf of ASCO and the Research Community Forum Council, we are pleased to announce that the program is now available for the 2017 ASCO Research Community Forum Annual Meeting, taking place September 24-25, in Alexandria, VA, just outside Washington, DC.

This unique meeting provides an important opportunity to connect with other physician researchers and research staff, network and collaborate with colleagues from all types of research programs, share best practices for effectively conducting and managing clinical research, and brainstorm solutions to common challenges in conducting and managing research. I personally encourage you and your colleagues to attend and take advantage of expanded educational opportunities, including two topical workshops:

Workshop 1: How to Succeed with Payers on Clinical Trials: Understanding Barriers, Dealing with Denials, and Navigating the Appeals Process
Led by Dax Kurbegov, MD, and Kelly Willenberg

Workshop 2: Role of Molecular and Precision Medicine in Advancing Cancer Research
Led by Edward S. Kim, MD, and Richard L. Schilsky, MD, FACP, FASCO, FSCT

This year's meeting will also feature a keynote address by ASCO President-Elect Monica M. Bertagnolli, MD on the role of research partnerships; presentations by leaders in cancer research on cancer care delivery research and big data, the impact of state and federal policies on cancer research, and reducing administrative burden; breakout sessions to develop solutions to today's key research challenges; and networking events.

Of note, CME and Nursing CE credits are available, as well as a CE option for ACRP and SoCRA members. We are also offering a group discount: bring a colleague and receive 50% off your own registration.

There's limited space available, so make sure you and your colleagues register early!

I look forward to seeing you at this year's meeting. If you have any questions or need assistance registering, please feel free to contact our team at researchcommunityforum@asco.org.
