Dr. Ray D. Page Joins ASCO Nominating Committee

Dr. Ray PageRay D. Page, DO, PhD, FACOI, will serve 2 years in the designated Community Oncologist seat on the ASCO Nominating Committee. The Committee is responsible for annually developing a slate of candidates for the Society’s elected positions, including President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, and members of the ASCO Board of Directors and Nominating Committee. Dr. Page shared the ballot with James Frame, MD, FACCP, FASCO, in the 2016 ASCO Election, and will replace Dr. Frame upon his resignation from the Nominating Committee.

Dr. Page is a founding partner, president, and director of research at The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Page joined ASCO in 1996 and has served in many roles on the State Affiliate Council since 2010, including chair from 2013 to 2014. He is the current chair-elect of the Clinical Practice Committee and has contributed to numerous working groups of the committee. He has also served as a member of the Government Relations Committee and Conquer Cancer Foundation of ASCO Grants Selection Committee; as a delegate for the American Medical Association House of Delegates; and as a reviewer for the Journal of Oncology Practice.
