From HIS Talk, an interesting trio of blog posts submitted by HIS readers. Note that the authors of the second and third are anonymous so let the the buyer beware. Here is a summary:
1. The first is a thoughtful analysis of the recent National Research Council/IOM report I noted in an earlier blog post here, written by our friend and colleague from the Physicians' EHR Coalition (PEHRC), ACP's Dr. Peter Basch.
2. It's a little on the Inside Baseball side, but the second is some commentary on Sutter Health's trials and tribulations on implementing EPIC, which is occurring in my backyard here in Sacramento.
3. The third is a hilarious but chillingly plausible expose on HIT vendor sales tactics. Has the ring of truth to me.
