Welcome to ASCO Connection Groups

Creating Groups
ASCO Members and Guest Account users are invited to create groups on oncology-related topics. You can start a new group by clicking “Create New Group” on the Group Directory page. Note—you must be logged in to the site to see this link. ASCO members and Guest Account users, please log in with your username and password (retrieve username/password). Click here to create a Guest Account.

The creator of a group (the administrator), selects a security level for each group. The choices are:
1. Open—the group listing is visible to all site visitors, and any logged in ASCO Member or Guest Account user can join and participate.
2. Closed—the group listing is visible to all site users, and logged in ASCO Members and Guest Account users can apply to join; however, membership must be approved by the group’s creator/administrator. Content is only visible to members.

After selecting the group's name and security level, click "Next" to personalize the group and add optional information, such as a website, logo/image, and descriptions/news/instructions for members. Click "Next" again to add a geographic location for your group (optional). Select "Click to Finish" to create your group.

Joining Groups
ASCO Members and Guest Account users can join groups using the “Join Groups” link in the bottom right of each listing. Note—you must be logged in to the site to see this link. ASCO members and Guest Account users, please log in with your username and password (retrieve username/password). Click here to create a Guest Account. Applications to join closed groups (see #2 above) will require approval by the group’s administrator.

Managing Groups

For Group Creators:
1. Send invitations to others to join your Group. Click here for instructions.
2. The group creator/administrator also manages users and can send group emails to group members (click here for instructions).

Receive Your Group's Updates and Posts via Email

Subscribe to email updates from your Group by clicking the subscription link on your individual Group’s main page; you can unsubscribe to updates by clicking the same link. Emails are sent to the email address associated with your log-in account. (Log in required to subscribe/unsubscribe)
