Bloomberg reports on a study which indicates that patients with early-stage Hodgkin lymphoma can forgo radiation treatment and receive chemotherapy alone, as the addition of radiation therapy led to higher mortality. The study, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, found that 94% of patients who received chemotherapy were alive after 12 years, compared with 87% of patients who received radiation (either alone or in combination with chemotherapy).
